An exceptional site

Built on the ruins of an ancient 17th century monastery, the current mansion shelters The Herboretum School^®.

 

The main dwelling, built in the pure neoclassical architectural style of the 19th century is made of a succession of rooms, flanked on one side by a winter garden and on the other side by a turret.

This beautiful building with its romantic style impregnated of serenity has been restored and maintained by its successive owners.

 

The winter garden, entirely renovated in the winter 2004 - 2005 is the first step of a complete restoration which will include the ground floor and the first floor in order to enlarge them and to better take advantage of the terrace which overlooks the park.

Outdoor, in about 9 hectares (20 acres), the site gathers a collection of gardens:

• A Garden with medicinal plants, dying plants, and a vegetable garden with some rare or forgotten species, among others,
• an orchard which will highlight ancient species of Apple and Pear trees,
• a variety of beautiful trees to discover while walking through the park,
• natural areas (wet grassland, river banks...), rich in wild species, etc.

This exceptional site is perfectly suited for an educational programme allowing trainees to explore this natural world with living examples in the best conditions.

The Herboretum School^® is also a gathering and excitement point where all the specialists of Nature may meet to participate to all kinds of meetings and research works in different varied fields: Botany, Cultivation techniques, Cosmetics, Nutraceutics...

For those who would only like to take advantage of the quiet and green setting of the site, without any educational programme, The Herboretum School^® can organise the renting of the property for seminars, public relation events and private exhibitions, from 10 to 20 people up to 200.
